Death's sonata

Two lissome cypresses
Just like an old pianist's fingers
Heartlessly scattered the notes
That wrote death's sonata,
And it was the stroke of the midnight hour
When ravens brought sadness to me
Upon their black wings,
And it was life that was bleeding
When ,as a little girl, she was sacrificed
For a trip to the unknown.

And i will agonizingly be forever seeking
Upon the crystal of silence
For the traces of your voice
Telling me your last goodbye
Even if you never knew
That on that scarred night
In the sound of an abandoned jukebox
In ramshackle and empty rooms
Death would tango....
